During the past month I enjoyed working on the East coast of Australia and enjoying the beginning of an Aussie Spring!

In Brisbane, we participated in Global Partners Asia/Pacific Educational Leaders Institute. Educational leaders from institutions from the Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Boganville, Solomon Islands, Australia & New Zealand met for training, encouragement and networking in an effort to strengthen theological and ministry education in their respective institutions.

In Sydney, Marilyn and I celebrated our 44th wedding anniversary with close friends and promoted the work of Synseis in two Sydney area churches. We also visited the Sydney harbor and Blue Mountains.

In Melbourne, we met with many friends and colleagues we had ministered with while at Kingsley College. Our first Sunday in Melbourne was Australian Father’s Day. I had the privilege of promoting Synseis and preaching at Balwyn WMC… and celebrating Father’s Day a second time this year! In addition to other opportunities to share God’s work through Synseis, Marilyn and I were interviewed for a cable TV show!

We are truly encouraged with a sense that God is up to something great in this area of the world.

James 5:15-16 (NIV) “And the prayer offered in faith…the Lord will raise him up…The prayer of the righteous man is powerful and effective.” God energizes the prayers of those who pray in alignment with His righteous plans and purposes.
Praise the LORD, hot off the press! A significant international mission agency has contacted Synseis regarding partnering with them to identify and train mentor leaders in their schools in Africa, Latin America, South and East Asia. Pray earnestly for God’s direction in the ongoing development of this possibility!

Praise God for His answers to your prayers for Impact South Pacific!! Participants from the Philippines to New Zealand and islands in between were encouraged and trained in the task of preparing for ministry in their respective regions.

Please pray for Dr. Sam Kargbo, the newest leader being mentored by Synseis Fellow Dr. Victor Cole in Sierra Leone, West Africa. Dr. Kargbo will be in the U.S. in October meeting with Synseis leaders and other key Christian leaders. Pray for safe travel and that God will move many to support the cause.

Continue to pray for Impact South America, being held this week. I am joining leaders of seminaries, Bible colleges and institutes in Quito, Ecuador, to participate in the 9th Association of Evangelical Theological Education for Latin America Conference and explore possibilities of Synseis’ future involvement.

Keep on praying for and thanking God in advance for His abundant provision of resources, creativity, and wisdom in the immediate future, and throughout the coming year which is expected to be the most impactful yet.

Philippians 4:19 (NIV) “And my God will meet (fill to the full)
all your needs (necessities) according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”
