Good News from the field! Over the past several years, Synseis has had the privilege of working alongside of The Evangelical College of Theology (TECT) in Freetown, Sierra Leone as they sought, under God’s direction, to revitalize all aspects of the college.

From reports we have received and what we have been able to see firsthand, the changes have been substantial. We praise God that in spite of limited resources and the Ebola crisis, the acting leadership engaged the board, faculty and staff in the implementation of many of the Intervention team recommendations. While there is still much to do, the future is bright!

During this time the TECT Board of Governors initiated a thorough search for permanent leadership, so we have included an announcement of their decision along with three prayer requests.
Pray for Dr. Samuel Kargbo as he moves from acting Principal to assume the permanent role of substantive Principal of TECT. Dr. Kargbo has led TECT through significant transition already. Pray that those initiatives already in process will be completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Pray for the Board of Governors as they support Dr. Kargbo and his administration as they lead the day-to-day operations of the college.
The 24th of April 2016 has been slated as the official induction ceremony service day for Rev. Dr. Samuel Gerald Alimamy Kargbo, the newly appointed substantive Principal/President of The Evangelical College of Theology.

Venue: King Memorial United Methodist Church @ Godrich Street, Freetown. Time: 2:30 p.m.
Pray for Synseis as both Dr. Kargbo and the TECT board have requested an intentional mentoring phase for the new Principal. Pray for funding partners for this project. Though a small foundation grant has been secured to allow the process to start, additional financial resources are needed to continue and ultimately complete the process.
